Fizz Land

Chimera opened her eyes and sat up in her bed. "Here we go." She smiled, "It's been a year since I first discovered my beast form, and that also means I'm fourteen today!" She jumped out of her bed and ran into the kitchen. "Morning mom!" She said running past Whirlwind. "Good morning birthday girl." Whirlwind smirked. "Good morning Chimera." Moji said running in front of her, "I have made you a birthday surprise but I cannot remember where I left it." "Moji you fit right into this family." Chimera laughed and ruffled his fur before turning back to her mom, "Where's daddy?" She asked. "He's out back." Whirlwind sighed rolling her eyes, "The Globules got out again." "Really? Again?" Chimera whined, "Who keeps letting them out?" "I don't know but he's out there sorting them. If you want you could go help him out." Whirlwind suggested. "No he can handle it." Chimera said rolling her eyes, "So, What kind of special thing will we be doing today since it's my birthday?" She smirked. "Who said anything about doing something special?" Whirlwind asked as she got some cereal down and put it in a bowl of milk for Moji. "We always do something fun on my birthday." Chimera reminded, "Except for last year but that was because we got mad at each other. That was mostly my fault and I apologized. So since I actually CAN have soda this year..." "I don't know Chimera why don't you just enjoy some breakfast before we start thinking about anything like that." Whirlwind said rolling her eyes.

"Chimera?" Lucky called as he walked around the corner of their house with some flowers in his paws. His right wing was folded by his side while what remained of his left flopped as it pleased. He'd noticed the odd colors coming from the back, or "Fizz Land" as Popfizz always called their potion testing areas, and he'd assumed that someone was back there at work. "Lucky?" Popfizz asked after throwing a blue Globule over his shoulder and into a vacuum in the center of the yard. "What are you doing here?" "Well I came to tell Chimera happy birthday." Lucky shrugged, hiding the flowers behind him in embarrassment, and fear that her dad wouldn't approve. "Is she back here?" "I don't even know if she's awake." Popfizz shrugged as pushed more blue creatures towards the vacuum. Lucky watched him collect his Globules for a moment before tilting his head. "Do you need some help with that sir?" He asked. "Sure." Said Popfizz, "Could you get the pink ones?" Lucky put the flowers under his right wing and walked over to some pink creatures. "Okay." He said and tried pushing one away. It didn't budge. The creatures was much smaller than him but it would not move no matter how hard her tried. "Oh I forgot," Popfizz sighed, "You have to be in Fizz World to get those." "Fizz World?" Lucky asked nervously, knowing exactly what that meant, "Well in that case, maybe I should just get the blue ones and let you-" "No there's a potion behind you." Popfizz shrugged, "Just drink it and go ahead it'll be fine." "Potion... Right... Okay whatever you say." Lucky sighed before grabbing the blue bottle from the table in the corner of the huge yard. He hesitated before drinking it. His eyes turned multicolored just like Saber's and everything he saw, heard, and felt in the yard changed. Now that he was in Fizz World he could move the pink Globules around. Once he was done he drank the potion again and put a paw over his head. Drinking those potions always gave him a headache. "Thanks Lucky. Come on inside and we'll see if Chimera's up." Popfizz said as he dusted off his paws and turned to go back to the house. Lucky took the now withered flowers out from behind his wing and sighed.

"There you are daddy!" Chimera said as Popfizz and Lucky walked inside, "I've been waiting on you forever." "Sorry but you know how Globules can be." Popfizz shrugged, "... Little demons..." "Good morning Lucky." Whirlwind smiled acknowledging Lucky who was behind Popfizz. "Morning ma'am." Lucky slightly waved. Popfizz walked past Chimera and over to Moji, Chimera noticed Lucky's dead plants. "Aw Lucky are those flowers?" She asked and laughed a little. "Well I uh-" Lucky gulped and hid them behind him, "Ugh... They were." He sighed. "That's so cute." Chimera giggled, "Thanks." Lucky gave them to her anyway, knowing that she wouldn't keep them because of how bad they looked now. If only she'd seen them when they actually looked nice. "Daddy!" Chimera called going back to her dad who was now sitting next to Moji at the table, "What are we doing today?" "Well I collected the Globules but I haven't sorted them yet." Popfizz shrugged trying to think of what else needed to be done around Fizz Land. "We do need to get those separated before they explode again, then-" "I meant for my birthday." Chimera growled. "Oh right." Popfizz said with his ears instantly dropping to his sides. "Daddy! You didn't forget my birthday did you!?" Chimera snarled. "No no of course not sweetie it's just..." Popfizz let out a sigh, "It's been a year since I started the potion thing again, so I'm kind of... Forgetful." "So you did forget." Chimera growled, "I should've known." "Hey! Calm down okay." Popfizz said, "After we get everything in Fizz World taken care of we can go do whatever you want." "Promise?" Chimera asked. "Cross my heart." Popfizz smirked. "Um... I could help if you guys need me too." Lucky offered, "You know, so you can be done faster." "You don't have to Lucky." Popfizz said. "I want to, if you need me that is." Lucky shrugged. "Good, you're in." Chimera smiled.

So later that afternoon Lucky, Chimera, and Popfizz were in the backyard walking around the weird terrain. "Where exactly do you separate the Globules?" Lucky asked as he followed Popfizz and Chimera. "Over here." Chimera sighed in a bit of an annoyed tone, "It's not as fun and exciting as it sounds." "If exciting means then one wrong move could blow us to bits, then sure it's exciting." Popfizz shrugged before stopping and looking at the path in front of them. Several potion bottles with tentacles coming out of the bottoms were walking around. "Darn it, who left the gate opened on the creature container?" Popfizz growled crossing his arms. "Probably you." Chimera said rolling her eyes. "Oh right..." Popfizz said shyly and folded his ears, "I forgot." "Well Lucky, you up for a fight?" Chimera asked, elbowing his left arm. He cringed a little when she did because it had sent a pain through his remaining wing. "Sure, why not." He sighed as they all walked forward.

Once they were close enough for the bottles to see them the bottles rushed forward to attack. Popfizz took one of his green potions out of his backpack and threw it onto the ground in front of him, so they all got stuck and burned in the acid. Chimera mostly punched them this way and that, but eventually used a little bit of her magic to pull several of them closer to her before knocking them all back. Lucky was just fending them off but suddenly they became too much for him to simply kick away. He closed his eyes tight, hating to use his undead power. The ground under him opened a purple vortex and you could literally watch the souls being sucked from the bottles and drained into Lucky himself before they all fell over lifeless. The fight continued for sometime and it was actually becoming fun for them. Even Lucky who was usually against hurting anything, was thinking "They're just potion bottles" and having a blast fighting them. Chimera flicked one of them with her tail and laughed when it hit Popfizz in the head. Suddenly one snuck up behind Lucky and tried to wrap it's tentacles around the small bit of his left wing. Lucky hadn't had anything grab that part of him since it happened, so it made him scream from the unexpected pain it sent into his spine. "Hold on Lucky!" Chimera said quickly and punched the potion away from him. Punching it made it pull tighter before it was forced away. "You alright?" Popfizz asked finishing off the last of them. Lucky didn't answer, he was down on his knees with his eyes shut tight and his paws over his head. He was actually shaking, his left wing more than the rest of him of course. Popfizz couldn't tell if it had actually hurt him that badly or if it just scared him. Chimera took a step back as Popfizz sat down in front of Lucky. "Lucky... Look at me." He said calmly. Lucky half way opened his watering eyes and glanced up at Popfizz, "Are you alright?" Popfizz asked seriously. The cat was quiet for a moment before nodding, and Popfizz carefully helped him to his feet. "Come on let's get those things separated before they explode." Popfizz said, "We're not too far away from them." Chimera sadly looked at Lucky's wing before walking around to his right and letting him lean on her to walk onward.

The rest of the path was blocked by weird trees that the three of them had to use weird "crazy potions" and a two way trip to Fizz World to get past. "Dad couldn't you have made your potion testing area a little less... Fizzy?" Chimera asked as they walked up to the Globule separator. "What do you mean?" Popfizz asked. "I mean, did you have to make it so hard to get around?" Chimera asked, "Why did you even include "Fizz World" In the design of this place? Why didn't you just make it normal so you could walk around without having to drink any potions." "Well I guess when I was making it, I kept switching back and forth between worlds when I'd get thirsty and drink a potion. And that maybe why." Popfizz shrugged, "Anyway. Let's get these things apart before they blow up." With that they all started using Popfizz's weird machines and things to try and keep the blue and red Globules away from each other. There were a lot more than he'd originally thought there were and it was taking a long time.

After several hours Chimera noticed that the sun was going down. "Daddy if we don't speed this up then we're not going to get to do anything for my birthday!" Chimera complained. "That's not true." Popfizz said looking at the sun, "Swindle's is opened all night... I've heard bad reviews about going after dark though..." "I don't wanna go to Swindle's dad, I'm fourteen!" "I've been there after dark and it's probably not the best idea..." Lucky said, "You know... unless you want to see him in crazy mode, in which case you'll "fit right in" as he says." Chimera and Popfizz gave Lucky an odd look. "Don't ask." He shivered before continuing to sort Globules. "I'm sorry Chimera but this was really important." Popfizz sighed. "Am I not important to you?" Chimera growled. "Oh boy..." Lucky gulped and lowered his ears. "Chimera you're the most important thing in the world to me." Popfizz said truthfully. "What world?" Chimera said as she backed away from separating Globules. "The real World or Fizz world?" "What kind of question is that?" Popfizz asked, "You know I love you more than anything." "Chimera... Maybe you're over reacting, I mean Popfizz loves you but he couldn't let this place blow up." Lucky shrugged. "Stay out of it Lucky!" Chimera hissed. "Chimera don't take this out on him." Popfizz said, "I'm sorry about all of this I really am." "You won't even remember feeling sorry anyway." Chimera muttered. "I get it." Popfizz sighed, "I might have forgotten that your birthday was on this day. But I could never forget how fourteen years ago you were born and you changed my life forever. Or how when Whirly Bird and I found out about you, I worried so much that I couldn't give you the life I wanted to. And how when you actually got here all of those worries went away and I only thought about how much I loved you..." All was quiet after that.

By the time the Globules had all been separated and put where they belonged, everything there was to do was closed. Everything except for Swindle's that is... So since there was nothing better to do they went to Swindle's. "Hello!" Swindle said with that toothy smile as soon as they'd walked into the empty party place. During the day time the animatronics party zone was always packed but tonight it seemed that no one was around. "Something tells me it's somebody's birthday, who's is it?" Swindle continued. "You can drop the goofy act Swindle." Said Whirlwind, "It's Chimera's birthday and she's a little old for kiddy stuff. You're just the only place opened this late." "Look if you party here you get used to the act." Swindle said crossing his arms before his smile returned, it seemed a little forced but then again it always did. "Pick any table you'd like! No one else is here tonight." "I wonder why." Lucky growled a little as they walked past. They ate their pizza, if you could call it pizza. It always tasted more like cardboard in my opinion... Not that I would know. "So since it's your birthday." Said Swindle walking behind Chimera's chair with glowing blue eyes. "Maybe you should get a present. Like a bear suit!" "A what?" Popfizz asked. "Stuffed animal!" Swindle said quickly, "Did I say bear suit? I mean stuffed animal- heh, working here so long must have my vocal processor confused." He said nervously before walking away. "I don't like the fact that the power keeps shorting out." Whirlwind said noticing the flickering lights. "Don't mind them." Swindle said returning to his stage, "Things get a little weird when they go out, but until then, Enjoy the show!"

Chimera did really feel like listening to a robot sing, so she walked into the arcade and sighed as she looked around at the games. "Hey..." Lucky said quietly walking over to her. "Happy birthday." "Thanks." Chimera half smiled. "And thank you for helping us today, we'd still be there if you hadn't." Lucky stood in front of her at a loss of words from how quiet things were in the arcade. Chimera looked like the most beautiful thing in the world to him then. "So..." He said clearing his throat, "Swindle's. The name kind of makes you thi-" He couldn't finish his sentence before Chimera's grabbed him by his collar and pulled him over to her and kissed him. His ears stood strait up, along with his tail and his right wing. The very tips of his fur turned pale orange like his original fur color. She backed up and blushed a little staring at the ground. Lucky stood in the same position for two seconds before falling over backwards passed out. Chimera laughed a little before waking him up and helping him back to his feet. "Come on." She said looking around the arcade. "Let's get outta here."

"Aw, young love." Swindle smirked as he watched the security footage later that night. "Thanks for sharing this video with me Allana." He smirked at the fennec fox. "I didn't, you barged in on me." Allana growled, "AND scared me half to death in the process." "I almost wish I could have a girl in my life." Swindle said ignoring what the security guard had said, "Of course I can't... Robot's don't feel love..." He turned to Allana who was sitting on her swivel chair with her security hat on watching other monitors. "Wanna play dress up?" He asked her, "I have a spare bear suit I could squeeze you into." "...I hate this job." Allana sighed.
